Extremely well built and easy to adjust. All my friends love to play ball at my place, because my basketball goal is by far the best in the neighborhood.

It is very easy to adjust the height.

Very satisfied with the product. Solid construction, height easily adjustable, true bounce off the backboard and rim. Because of the size and weight, need four strong guys to attach the backboard. Video of the installation was helpful.

The hardest part of the whole process was digging down 4 feet thru Oklahoma clay. The fr ame materials are great with good welds. Solid all the way around. This product should last. Only draw back was the padding material. It was of lesser quality than the rest of the product. It was cracked exposing the padding underneath.

With 5 boys in elementary through high school, our Pro-Dunk gets a lot of use. The older guys move the rim to 10' to play each other and the young guys crank it down to 8' to practice shots.

Heavy, sturdy construction. Only hard part was lifting up the glass backboard to mount on the support arm. It is heavy, but my son and I did it with a third person sliding the mounting bolt in place.

The only complaints I have are the free basketball that was provided was crap. It bubbled and failed in about 4 weeks and I have already gone thru a net. For as heavy duty everything else is they could have gone with a higher quality net and ball.

Have two boys in highscool basketball and this is the type and size they have in the gym.

This basketball hoop/pole was installed on a multi-million dollar home estate. A massive trade study was conducted comparing all hoops/poles available via the internet and in sporting goods stores. The primary concern was functionality and weather durability due to winter snow conditions. The 2nd very close concern was architecture. I am happy to say that this FleXtreme hoop excelled in all our studies at the top of each group. The construction of this system is unique in its use of a upward sloped parallel support structure that is incredible rigid. The quality of construction is like none other. It is built like a crane, heavy and sturdy. It weighs more than the competition which is the first clue at the sturdy engineering that went into this pole/hoop design. This home project has cut no corners and the addition of this hoop system was no exception. The up/down adjustment is easy and lockable. The galvanized option is incredible. Assembly was simple (about 1.5 hours) however, we used a tractor to lift the backboard onto the pole. Get a few strong guys if you don't have equipment to lift it. Well worth buying your friends some pizza, as it is the thick and heavy me tal construction that separates this hoop system from everyone else. Also as a side note, the glass is as thick as the pro boards, and it is really really heavy! When viewed from the street it has simple geometric lines and is aesthetically pleasing and complements rather than distracts from the overall project. When viewed close up it is dominating and the quality of construction "jumps" out at you. You can dunk, and if it shakes at all it is over in a fraction of a second. It is so solid that I have little doubt that it will last a lifetime. A big thank you to the guys at FleXtremehoops, as they not only make an awesome product, they answer their phone "live" and know their product like a company should. No foreign call center from these guys! In summary, if you are considering a basketball hoop & pole system, don't try to save money and get something else. You get what you pay for and in the case of the FleXtreme hoop the $$$ are well worth it. There is not a single system out there that even comes close to the FleXtreme hoop. Take the time to do your research and you will come to the same conclusion we did. I can't stress enough NOT to try to save a few bucks and get something else as you WILL be disappointed.

What a great quality product! We are very satisfied with it. Our boys ages 12 and 10 love to play basketball and enjoy this quality basketball system, which was installed in our backyard court. We suggest using 4 people for installation of the backboard since it's so big and heavy. We also ordered the rustproofing (since we live near the ocean) and a light, which extends our playing time. The customer service was great!

Great basketball goal. Had no problems putting it together and setting it up. You will need at least three men to set the backboard on the pole and secure it (very heavy!!) or you can do what we did and use a frontend loader. By far, the hardest part was digging the 2' x 2' x 4' deep hole for the ba se. After the ba se was installed and the concrete had set, the rest of the installation only took about an hour. The goal is sturdy and well built and my kids love hanging on the rim!

My new hoop and back-board have made our driveway the go-to place for neighborhood kids to play B-BAll. My kids have increased their basketball practise time ten fold since its installation. It's solid construction forces me and my kids to shoot more accurately. Its either a near perefct shot or the ball won't drop

Our FleXtreme Platinum has only been set up for a short time and it is working great. True rim/backboard response. Being able to lower the rim to 5'-6" has been great for my 9 year old to work on his dunks:)

I was a bit uneasy about buying a backboard on-line without knowing what I was going to get. However, the overwhelming positive comments by everyone on the site, encouraged me to try it. Our family has been extremely impressed with the quality and look of the system and is something the kids can grow in to as they get older.

Things that are great about it

Very well built. Had to use a forklift to put the backboard on (thank god I had one) Only problem was the height gauge, it was broke but I use fingernail polish on the adjusting pole for the 10ft mark and it woks fine

This system not only is solidly built; it looks great in our driveway. We have had many neighbors and friends drive by our house and ask where we got our basketball system from. They love it! The construction is very solid; my kids and I started laughing with delight the first few times we shot the ball, the backboard didn't move and we got a true bounce off the rim. We are thrilled and so are all the neighborhood kids.

Easy set up / Very durable and sturdy. Been dunking on it with team mates and friends that are well over 225lbs and it's very solid.

We use for family fun. My 10 year old daughter says it is really easy for her to lower the backboard to a height she desires. Neighbor kids flocked to our house when it went up. Unit is very solid...all aspects appear to be really strong...and it looks good as well. Delivery was easy. We had a local construction co./handy-man set it up, well worth the dollars spent there. We have a large area for it and we are glad we went with the larger backboard...it is really nice. Time will tell as to how it stands up to weather. It's done well in wind, rain, and sun...waiting for the snow...we'll see in 10 years how it holds up. We added the rust guard. That's the only reason we hold back on a 5 star rating...want to see how it holds up over time. So far, a very solid product and we highly recommend it.

Kids are always out there playing both just shooting around and having pickup games with their friends. The goal is very easy to adjust and very solid.

Our two year old loves it. The adjustable height allows him to "make" baskets and he is hooked. It is something that all three of our boys and their friends can use. It is really solid and is going to be around for the next 15-20 years so it makes for a great investment.

Just difficult to get an installer in there to get it up.

Great product. I have 6 children at various stages, and they all love it. They can adjust the height to their level and have fun with the game of basketball.

Ryan was quick at resolving a custom fee mistake. Even though shipping + custom fees are high, the total cost is still lower than any other comparable basketball goal systems for us Canadians. The goal sits beautifully on our tennis court. Now we play more basketball than tennis with our family.

Solid construction. Needed help to assemble.

I used to own a 60" Mammoth hoop at a previous home. There is no comparison. The quality is excellent. The kids love being able to lower down to 5'6" where they can dunk and hang on it. If I had to assemble it again I would get 4 guys on the 72" backboard and one placing the pin. We did it with 2 on the backboard and my wife on a ladder with the pin.

We are using this awesome hoop in our church parking lot. Once we get the court lined we'll be having regular pickup games. We love the 4-6 foot reach from the support to the backboard which gives you a genuine feel for a regulation court. Of course, you can dunk all day long! We are excited to have this hoop as part of our church facility! By the way, we installed this great system ourselves- it was really quite easy!

With the age of our kids, 8' is a great rim height. Ours is used for family fun and keeping active, both of which are very enjoyable due to the high quality of the hoop. The only reason for a hard to setup note was that a regulation size 1/2" glass backboard is HEAVY, obviously. Three men held it while I attached the bolts - but still not a cakewalk. Designed well, but still heavy. Don't underestimate the manpower needed. Overall, great product (very stable, easily adjustable and well manufactured) and I appreciate the details, specifically the stainless hardware option.

Great hoop!! The kids and myself love playing on this hoop, other than fighting over what height to set it at!!!! I have a 4 year old and she can even make baskets on the Pro-Dunk hoop!!!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality hoop at a great price!!!!!

The unit arrived on time and the installation was difficult. The backboard requires three solid persons to install. Once installed, it feels and look like a solid unit and has been performing very well. In looking for a residential adjustable basketball goal, it quickly became apparent to me that I had to steer away from the low-end, entry level goals since their flimsy construction and instability would have significantly reduced the fun of playing. This is an awesome hoop. Rock solid, I can dunk and hang on the rim without any fear of damage to the hoop or myself! Installation is not difficult, but the system is so solidly built that many of the parts are heavy...that is nothing to complain about though, it is well worth the effort once it is up.

With 3 young children an adjustable system was a must. I did a lot of on-line shopping, and this was by far the best price and the highest quality system available. I've recommended it to 3 friends. I would absolutely buy it again from FleXtreme Hoops. Great company, very responsive when i called with a few questions. Only way to improve the experience was if the installation instructions were updated with more pictures (that always helps), and some of the bolts were labeled better (since they are close in length, it makes it difficult to identify the correct one). When this hoop arrived at my house, the backboard was bigger than my bed! Very heavy duty and stable system. The rim allows no "cheap shots" like other low quality hoops. We use these goals to reach out in our Native American Communities, and the youth can be really hard on basketball goals, where often you see broken goals or backboards. We use our Pro Duck system at home for practice. I think the most useful thing about the system is the height adjustment which allows for the system to be lowered to height suitable for small kids to play at a Pro like level. I think the most undesirable thing about the system is that it?s too nice a system to not have an area designated only for basketball.

Home residential play

Once we installed the system (with the help of a few friends), kids started to show up to play. We live out in the country and our neighbors are a distance away (1/2 mile), but they would rather play at our house, rather than on their old equipment. We may have to start charging for court time!!!

Everything about this system is great. Starting with customer service when buying it (thanks Ryan!),through delivery (on time, as scheduled), set up (used your recommended installer but watched it being done, very straightforward) and, most of all, quality of materials. This thing is built like a tank, looks great and is easy for my 9 year old to raise and lower. I looked at systems for twice the price and I cannot think of a thing they have over this system.

Everything is great with the system and it is getting some serious play time. The work to install was a three man job at times but worth the effort. This system is VERY stable and secure. Thanks.

My whole family loves the Platinum Pro-Dunk system. So easy to adjust, even my 5 year old can raise and lower the goal. Money well spent.

Very easy for even small children to adjust the height.

We bought the system for a Bible Camp where durability and adjustability are a high priority. Now both young and old can enjoy the system to the fullest. We also recived a court stencil for some shipping damages (scratches). Stencil product is worthless. Tape measure, chalk line, and string is the better route to go.

This is as good of quality backboard as is used at the collegiate level. It plays awesome.

Great goal - easy to adjust. The kids and i are enjoying it. Only downside is a fairly complicated installation. Had ours professionally installed which added cost but was well worth it.

Love the hoop, only one con; instructions need to stress not tightening bolts [especially main center bolt] until the unit is put together. Follow instructions, you will need three adults, but not difficult.

My sons love basketball and we were tired of the flimsy spalding junk. We went withthe FleXtreme after about a month of really checking into every basketball goal available on the internet. Great product and it really is like playing in a gym.

I have been playing organized basketball for over 30 years, the FleXtreme Platinum Basketball System plays just like a high school and college basketball gym backboard. The only thing I need to do is adjust for the wind, if needed (and the slight slant in my driveway). The feel, the way the ball bounces on the backboard and rim, the angles and the look are just like playing in the gym. I would recommend this system to anyone. Installation was a breeze,however, digging the hole and pouring the cement for the post and the weight of the backboard when attaching to the post were the hardest parts of installation. I would definitely suggest 4 well able men for lifting the backboard in place (more if you want) and a person to install the bolts.

The hoop is awesome and looks much better in person than the pics on the website. My wife was less than excited about putting such a mammoth goal in our front yard. However, she's fine with it now. It has a very elegant construction that helps mute its sheer bulk. I've gotten 5 drive-by complements, two from women asking me where I got it. I think that by showing a few installed pictures, people will get a lot more perspective about how the goal would look in a residential setting. Play is amazing. VERY solid feel. I love dunking and hanging ... and so do my kids. Bottom line is that I'd enthusiastically recommend this hoop to anyone and I'd definitely buy it again. Only comment I would make is that the sticker and the plastic overlay that indicates the height of the goal is a bit cheap looking.

The height indicator is made of a high-quality, weather resistant, high-impact plastic to endure harsh weather conditions without becoming brittle. Also, because it is plastic and not metal, the risk of corrosion at the pivot point is eliminated. Lastly, the plastic height indicator has the added benefit of being clear which allows you to see the rim height markings beneath the indicator.

this basketball system is fantastic, it perform way better than my old system. i weight in at 190 lbs, i dunk and hang on the rim with confidence that it would not break. the rim does not mount onto the glass backboard, it mount directly on to the steel fr ame. all the pole and extension arm are made of heavy steel and will last for years of play. i would highly recommend this system to anyone is looking for a basketball system. this system cost less then the big box store, and its 10 time better in quality and way more sturdier. fantastic system over all. for your diy installer out there, you are going to need 4 of your buddy and a case of beer to install it.
